Norwich City have loaned Steven Naismith out to Hearts for the rest of the season.
Having only played three times for Norwich this year due to injury problems and being out of favour under Daniel Farke, Naismith has decided to move away from Norwich and he has secured a return to Scotland.
Hearts have taken the Scotland international on a half season loan deal to aid their campaign in the Scottish Premiership – they currently sit 5th in the league.
The 31-year-old has only played three matches for Norwich this season, with the last coming in August, and he has moved away from Carrow Road to get some playing time.
Naismith’s spell at Norwich has included 48 appearances and eight goals, including a debut strike in a 5-4 loss to Liverpool.
Norwich fans flocked to social media to share their views on Naismith’s departure and here are a selection of the best responses after the news was announced.
Thanks for your debut goal, that’s literally about it.

Hearts apparently paying about a quarter of his wage. We might as well have kept him here and put him to work peeling spuds in the canteen kitchen or something. What a monumental waste of money he’s been.
