Following their relegation to the Championship last season, Watford have been working throughout summer to try and create a side that can compete at the top this season.

Rob Edwards has recruited well and although there is still some work to be done, the Hornets will be pleased to be unbeaten so far this term with a win and a draw under their belt.

Tonight Watford face a visit from fellow relegated side Burnley.

The Clarets have started their season in a similar way with a win and a draw so far meaning this could be a tight game.

With that in mind, we asked one of FLW's Watford fan pundits Justin Beattie for his score prediction: "My prediction against Burnley is a home win.

"I don't think it'll be particularly high scoring having scored only one goal in each match so far.

"It looks as though we don't put away a lot of our chances at the moment.

"I think we've probably got enough going forward in counter attack moves to scare the relatively new Burnley defence but we haven't been rampant in putting goals away so far this season.

"So, I'm going to go for a 1-0 Watford victory."

The Verdict:

As Justin says, this looks unlikely to be a high scoring affair this evening with both teams having scored just two goals so far this season.

Both sides have seen a fair amount of change in the squads this summer which is natural after relegation but it means both are in fairly similar positions.

Having the home advantage, you can see that Watford may be able to edge it and get a result tonight.

However, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the game end in a draw either with both sides putting the effort in to defend effectively.
