Leeds United are still yet to win under Paul Heckingbottom having conceded a stoppage-time equaliser to Derby County on Wednesday night.

That match finished 2-2 and Leeds' last two matches have finished in that scoreline after the Whites came from 2-0 down at half time last Sunday to take a point from their home match with Bristol City.

FLW asked Sam Saunders, pundit for EFL Matters on Sky Sports for his thoughts on how Heckingbottom has settled in at Elland Road. He said: "They came back against Bristol City when a couple of weeks ago they might have downed tools.

"To go to Derby and being minutes away from getting a win shows improvement. Every time a new manager comes in, you see that spike in performance - it's just getting it for seven or eight games.

"They've got a strong squad there. Adam Forshaw is playing week in, week out there. He's a good player, he was singled out for individual praise last season in the Premier League and people were raving about him at Middlesbrough.

"I think Leeds have got a snip there in the current market. Saiz coming back from suspension, he's one of their standout performers this year, without a doubt. Hopefully he's learned his lesson but he's got ability.

"Is it too late for the play-offs? You'd probably think so but it's going to give Heckingbottom time to suss his squad out ahead of pre-season and the transfer window and I wouldn't be surprised to see Leeds make a strong push for the play-offs next season."
