West Bromwich Albion fans have been calling for forward Matheus Pereira to make his move to the Hawthorns a permanent one, following the 23-year-old's latest message to the supporters on social media.

Pereira arrived at the Hawthorns on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Clube de Portugal in the summer transfer window, and he has proved to be a very promising addition for Slaven Bilic's side in the opening few months of the season, with the forward making 12 appearances and contributing some vital moments of quality for the Baggies so far this term.

Bilic has used Pereira's flexibility, in terms of his ability to play in a number of positions across the forward line, to the Baggies' advantage so far this term, with the forward being used in the number ten position as well as out wide, and the 23-year-old has produced quality attacking output in both positions managing to score three goals and assist five so far.

That has meant that the forward has become an instrumental part of West Brom's challenge to earn automatic promotion this season, with the Baggies currently sitting top of the Championship table after 14 matches, which has made Pereira something of a fans' favourite already at the Hawthorns.

Given Pereira's form so far this season it would be little surprise to see West Brom keen to make the loan move permanent either in the January window or next summer, but Sporting will probably be keen to keep him having watched how well he is performing at the Hawthorns this season.

West Brom supporters are certainly hopeful that Pereira will be convinced to sign a permanent deal with the club, but for now the forwards focus will be on helping the Baggies maintain their excellent start to the season under Bilic.

Here then, we take a look at how West Brom fans responded to Pereira's latest message to them on social media...
