Preston's on-loan star, Aiden McGeady looks set to be plying his trade away from Deepdale next season, with Middlesbrough and Leeds among a host of Championship clubs sniffing round the Everton wide man.

An impressive top half finish for North End included a Championship Player of the Month award for McGeady, who provided four assists and scoring three times in the month.

Interchanging sides with fellow winger, Daryl Hogan throughout the second half of the campaign, McGeady must be replaced if Simon Grayson's men are to replicate or improve on last season's 11th place.

A move which could see Hogan solidify his position as Preston's first choice right winger and compliment their modest budget, is to bring in the highly-touted Liverpool youngster, Sheyi Ojo.

The left winger, whilst bringing a completely different dynamic to the experience, set-piece prowess and goal scoring nous of McGeady, could prove equally as effective.

19-year-old, Ojo, has struggled to make himself a part of the Liverpool first team picture, after a back fracture hampered his progress in the 2016/17 season. However, he did play in two of their three FA Cup games as they crashed out to his former club ,Wolves.

There has been much hype surrounding the England Under-20 international since he signed for Liverpool for a reported £2 million from MK Dons at the age of just 14. But stuttering loan spells at Wolves and Wigan mean that Ojo is still to prove himself at a lower level, and must do so before he can think about becoming a serious part of Jurgen Klopp's plans.

This is a move that could suit all parties involved, as Preston look to replace a linchpin of last year's side.
