Preston North End set to secure summer deal for Premier League man

Sky Bet Championship outfit Preston North End are set to complete the permanent signing of West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard during the summer, according to journalist Tom Barclay who has broken the news on his Twitter account.

The Lilywhites took the ex-Manchester United stopper on loan in January and he made 14 appearances for the club, impressing sufficiently during his temporary stint to tempt manager Simon Grayson into sealing a permanent move.

The Danish keeper arrived in England in 2010 and in five years with Manchester United he featured 19 times for the Red Devils, although he spent most of his time with the club acting as a number two stopper.

Preston North End achieved a very respectable 11th placed finish in the Sky Bet Championship last season and boss Grayson will be keen to sign the right players to push the club forward again during next season.
