Preston North End have been linked with a move for Huddersfield Town forward Collin Quaner.

According to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, the 27-year-old has been subject to interest from the Championship side in the closing stages of this summer’s transfer window.

Quaner made 30 appearances in all competitions for the Terriers last season, but failed to find the net throughout the entire campaign.

Alex Neil’s side started their season off well with a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers, but are looking to bolster their squad to help them improve on last season’s seventh place finish.

The striker did not feature in preseason for Huddersfield Town, and will be looking to secure himself some first team football for this season.

The German signed for Huddersfield in 2017, and has gone on to make a total of 52 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.

The Verdict

Despite his lack of goal scoring prowess in the Premier League, Collin Quaner could be a good signing for Preston North End.

After successfully starting the new season off with a victory, Alex Neil’s side will be looking to bolster their squad in the closing stages of the transfer window, and the German could do just that.

While he may not be a starter from day one, Quaner could provide competition for places and might just help Preston into the play-offs this season.
