Preston North End could make a move for Manchester United youngster Josh Harrop, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old is in demand following his debut goal at Old Trafford at the end of last season, and despite being offered a new deal at Old Trafford, he is yet to sign it, meaning he could enter the summer as a free agent.

United however would be due some compensation for Harrop, meaning Preston would reportedly need to still cough up around £600,000 for the 21-year-old.

Preston will be in the hunt for new players following an excellent season under Simon Grayson which saw them cement their place in the Championship, while a couple of extra wins would have seen them pushing for a playoff spot.

Harrop meanwhile could well be tempted to move away from United, with the Manchester giants set to be active once again in the transfer market, meaning first team opportunities could be at a premium for the youngster.

A move to Preston would give him the chance to get those first team games under his belt, and could well be the start of what looks like being a successful career for Harrop.
