According to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider, Swansea, Luton Town, Preston and Hull City are in a race to try and sign Ryan Tafazolli on a free this summer.
The centre-back is set to be released from Peterborough United this summer after the Posh fell short in their challenge to make it into the play-offs.
Certainly, the centre-half is good enough to make the step up to the second tier himself and it seems as though there are plenty of clubs willing to offer him the chance to do just that.
Luton and Preston are among those interested, then, whilst Swansea and Hull City are also apparently keen on the centre-half.
Luton, of course, won the League One title and are on their way to the second tier whilst the other three all finished safely in the Championship and will be looking to build on solid enough campaigns.
Tafazolli is a good player and will be available on the cheap so it is small wonder there are clubs interested in him.
He’s got plenty to offer a second tier club next season and whoever gets him will hope he’s hunrgy enough to show what he can do with this chance in the Championship.
