Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones is a target for Preston North End and Bradford City, according to Alan Nixon.
The 21-year-old defender is being put up for sale by the Anfield club, and both North End and the Bantams are keen on signing the youngster before the transfer deadline this coming week.
Jones spent much of last season on loan with Swindon Town, impressing for the Robins and going on to make over 20 appearances in the process. However, it appears the Robins are not one of those clubs interested in taking Jones permanently, and he will have a few other options should Liverpool agree a fee for his sale.
The defender is capped by England up to under-20 level, but has failed to make the cut for the Reds under Jurgen Klopp, prompting his sale.
He also has an impending court case hanging over his head following an assault charge from a nightclub earlier in the year, and this could well be having an influence over his on field time.
Wigan are also interested in adding Jones to their ranks, but it remains to be seen where he will end up come the end of August.
