Preston and Barnsley to battle it out for 23-year-old winger

Preston look set to join the race for winger Lloyd Isgrove after the Lancashire Evening Post have confirmed the club are interested.

The Lancashire Evening Post has also reported that the club enquired about the Southampton youngster last month.

Isgrove joined Barnsley on loan in October last season, where he made 36 appearances during his loan spell as he helped the Yorkshire side win both the Football League Trophy and the League One play-off final, despite the club being in the relegation zone in December. Isgrove also scored in Barnsley’s 3-1 win over Millwall in the play-off final at Wembley.

Barnsley are also keen on signing Isgrove permanently.

Preston are in need of a winger, since both Adam Reach and Callum Robinson have returned to their parent clubs following loan spells at Deepdale.

The Lilywhites have already bolstered their attack, adding former Charlton Athletic loanee Simon Makienok to their squad.

Preston fans… Do you think Lloyd Isgrove would be a good signing? Would he be the ideal signing or would you prepare Reach or Robinson? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
