According to the BBC’s Mike White, both Leeds United and Hull City have had offers accepted from Liverpool to take Ryan Kent on a season-long loan.

The Liverpool man now faces a choice between West and East Yorkshire, although there is another unnamed club in the race to sign the winger.

Kent has made just one senior appearance for Liverpool, but has impressed in two separate loan spells away from Anfield in the Football League.

The 20-year-old spent the first-half of the 2015/16 campaign on-loan with Coventry City in League One, where he made 17 appearances and scored one goal.

Barnsley benefitted from Kent’s service last season, and the young winger made the step up to the Sky Bet Championship with ease, making a big impact at Oakwell.

Kent made 44 Championship appearances for Barnsley, missing just two fixtures throughout the whole season, as the Tykes finished 14th in the table, comfortably away from the relegation zone.

The winger also scored three goals for Paul Heckingbottom’s side last season, including one in Barnsley’s 3-2 victory over Leeds in January.

Leeds’ rivals in the race to sign Kent, Hull, are on the verge of completing another signing from Liverpool, with an £8m fee agreed for the permanent transfer of Kevin Stewart.
