Sunderland winger Will Buckley is set to sign for Leeds United as he gets ready to train with the West-Yorkshire club, reports BBC Leeds.
The winger, who can play on either flank, made the move to Sunderland from Brighton and Hove Albion a few seasons ago, however, the winger is yet to make a name for himself at the Black Cats and could be on his way to Leeds United in a loan deal that will please Leeds boss Uwe Rosler.
Buckley is set to train at Leeds United for this week with a view to complete a loan move that will more than likely see him join the Championship squad until January.
There’s no doubt that it would be an astute signing for a Leeds side looking to claw their way up the Championship table. Scoring 37 goals in over 150 professional appearances, the 25 year old will be hoping to impress at Elland Road.
Whether or not he will be a success at Leeds United remains to be seen, but he certainly has the potential to excel in the second-tier of English football.
The winger was a target for Premier League side Bournemouth earlier in September, showing the quality that Leeds are after as they aim for a top-six spot this season.
