Fulham are ready to splash the cash this summer after winning promotion to the Premier League and two Championship players have appeared on their radar.

According to The Mirror's Live Transfer Blog [Sunday 24th June, 21:53], Fulham are considering moves for Bristol City's Aden Flint and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish in deals which could cost a combined total of over £20m.

Fulham beat Aston Villa in the play-off final to seal their return to the Premier League and this has left the Villans in a financial crisis.

The West Midlands outfit need to sell some of their prize assets this summer and Fulham want to take advantage of their situation by bringing in Grealish.

The 22-year-old scored three goals and grabbed six assists for Villa last season and he is being chased by a number of Premier League sides, including Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

While Aston Villa rate him at £40m, the Cottagers want to sign him for £15m.

Fulham also want giant Bristol City centre-back Flint to strengthen their options in defence.

The 28-year-old, who stands at a massive 6ft 6in, has been a consistent performer for the Robins over the past few years and Fulham are hoping to sign him for £8m.

The Verdict

These two players would certainly improve Fulham's options.

Grealish could provide a creative spark in midfield to help Fulham move away from relegation and towards mid-table.

Meanwhile, Flint is solid in the air, comfortable with the ball on the floor and he also scores a number of goals from set-pieces, making him a double threat if he's in the side.
