Hull City defender Josh Tymon is closing in on a move to Stoke City, according to The Hull Daily Mail.

Josh Tymon is set to leave Hull along with a number of other players following their relegation to the Championship.

Harry Maguire and Curtis Davies have already left while Eldin Jakupovic, Andrew Robertson, Ahmed Elmohamady, Tom Huddlestone, Sam Clucas and Kamil Grosicki are among the players linked with the exit door.

Josh Tymon is also on his way out as Stoke City close in on the young full-back.

The 18-year-old is yet to sign a professional deal with Hull City and is expected to move to Stoke as early as next week in a cut-price deal.

The talented teenager is expected to slot into Stoke City's academy initially despite enjoying a few outings in first team football at Hull.

The young left-back has played fourteen senior games for Hull City, scoring one goal in the process.

Stoke City are hoping to snap up the England under-18 international on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer but there is a dispute ongoing.

Hull City are claiming that they triggered a one-year extension in his youth deal last December, meaning that he is contracted to the Tigers and registered for the 2017/18 season.

Either way, it looks like Josh Tymon is heading for the exit door.
