Burnley is contemplating placing another bid for Derby County’s Republic of Ireland international Jeff Hendrick, according to TeamTalk.
The 24-year-old midfielder who impressed greatly at the European Championships has been scouted by a number of Premier League sides, who are considering making a bid to prise him away from Derby County.
Of the Premier League sides, only Burnley is the known side to see their interest in Hendrick materialise in a bid. There have already been two bids which have both rejected by Derby County.
However, it is looking likely that Burnley will place another bid for Hendrick as they continue to fiercely pursue the dynamic midfielder’s signature.
It is yet to be seen how improved the bid will be for Hendrick, but with Derby County being one of the most affluent sides in the Championship, their incentive to sell is significantly lower.
The only real reason for Derby County to sell is if Jeff Hendrick has his head turned by the possibility of playing in the Premier Lague, and Nigel Pearson may feel that he could reinvest the money to strengthen the squad more broadly.
