Norwich City have made a new and improved offer for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe, according to Sky Sports News presenter Jim White.
It was reported last week that Wolves had rejected a ‘substantial offer’ from the Premier League new boys for the ex-Arsenal trainee, with boss Kenny Jackett stating that he wasn’t keen to sell any of his attackers during this transfer window.
Undeterred however, the Canaries seem adamant that they will get their target before the transfer window closes and have now made a second attempt to lure the player away from Wolves.
Premier League football could be a big pull for Afobe who was in fine form last season, netting 25 goals across spells with MK Dons and Wolves.
The electric striker has an eye for goal and would more than likely be a real nuisance in the Premier League too, but there is no doubt that Kenny Jackett will want to keep hold of arguably their most prized assets.
It is likely to take a mammoth offer from Norwich to persuade Wolves to even think about doing business but it is no surprise that a striker of Afobe’s talent is attracting interest.
