Premier League side Crystal Palace are interested in signing Blackburn Rovers captain Grant Hanley, according to the Sun.
The 23-year-old central defender is an academy product at the club who has made over 130 appearances at Rovers, and 17 at international level for Scotland.
The versatile defender made his debut in the Premier League in 2010, in a 1-0 win over Aston Villa.
He has plenty of interest in him this summer, as newly relegated Burnley are in the hunt for a replacement for their captain Jason Shackell, who left the club for Derby this summer.
They’ve had two offers rejected for his signature as Gary Bowyer remains intent on keeping him around, despite still needing more income in order to relinquish the shackles of their transfer embargo.
However, Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace have now stepped into the chase in the hope they’ll add more young quality to their side’s defence.
Hanley is a decent Championship player, and if he were to move to the Premier League, he may be loaned back out to Blackburn, as he probably may not be good enough for the top-flight just yet.
