Premier League side Bournemouth plotting move for talented Hull City ace

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are keeping a firm eye on Hull City defender Curtis Davies, according to The Mirror.

Davies is free to leave on a bosman in the summer as his contract is due to expire, however, Hull manager Steve Bruce is keen to avoid that happening and reports surfaced earlier in the week that a new two-and-half-year deal had been put on the table.

But Cherries manager Howe is still hopeful he can persuade Davies to join his Premier League side, who are looking increasingly likely to survive in their first season in the top flight.

The 30-year-old former Birmingham defender has helped the Tigers become one of the most solid sides in the division this year, conceding only 19 goals, a feat only matched by Middlesbrough.

Davies will be keen to see Hull return to the Premier League come the seasons end, and sources close to the club are hopeful he will commit his future to the club with the promise of an increase in wages should promotion be achieved.

The Tigers take on Birmingham City tonight, knowing a win can send them back to the summit of the table.
