Championship side Queens Park Rangers have undergone a summer of upheaval following relegation from the Premier League, but one player they will not be signing is Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura.
According to HITC Sport, the Algerian international has turned down the chance to join the Loftus Road outfit.
Guedioura has fallen way down the pecking order at Selhurst Park and he is one of seven players who has been told by boss Alan Pardew that they are free to leave the club.
R’s boss Chris Ramsey is a keen admirer of the ex-Nottingham Forest midfielder and had made an offer to the club, although it would appear that the player was not quite so keen.
This news is likely to alert several other Championship clubs to the availability of the player and it is understood that Palace are wanting a sale rather than a loan for the player.
Guedioura was a superb loan addition to the Watford squad last season and his form was key in the club finishing second in the Championship and gaining promotion to the top flight.
The Algerian’s combative style of play suits the type of football in the Sky Bet Championship, and his experience in the Premier League would make him a valuable asset to a number of Football League clubs.
