Derby County look set to add another former Chelsea man to their books with former England skipper John Terry set to sign for the club on a one-year deal.

In a report from Talksport, via the Daily Star, it has been revealed that Terry is set to sign up alongside former teammate and new Rams manager Frank Lampard at Pride Park, as he looks to extend his playing career by another season while helping his old friend out along the way.

Terry, who recently left Aston Villa after failing to guide them back to the Premier League, is keen on management himself, but at 37, knows he probably has another year in him at least in the second tier, and he will see the chance to link up with Lampard in his first managerial role as an exciting opportunity.

The former Chelsea skipper was named in the EFL team of the season last year and impressed in the main for Villa, despite at times showing his age and making the odd mistake.

Rams manager Lampard will no doubt be keen to get Terry on board as he looks to guide the Pride Park club back into the Premier League after a near decade hiatus.

Derby fans, what do you make of this? Would you like to see Terry at the club? Let us know in the comments!
