Sabri Lamouchi will be keen to strengthen his Nottingham Forest squad this summer, as the Reds potentially prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Forest currently sit fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table, with a top-six finish certainly on the cards for the side who sit five points clear of seventh-placed Bristol City.

Although they now sit 10 points off of the automatic promotion places, Lamouchi's side should feel confident heading into the final stages of the campaign, whenever the final nine games of the season are played.

After what was quite a disappointing January transfer window, the club will look to be active when making additions, as well as keeping hold of their current group of players.

The likes of Gaetan Bong and Nuno da Costa have failed to make an impact thus far, with the latter being limited to just 20 minutes of first-team action due to injury.

Here, we take a look at two transfer links Forest could revisit in the summer months...

Scott McKenna

Forest may look to enter the market for another centre-half in the summer.

The likes of Yohan Benalouane and Michael Hefele face uncertain futures at the City Ground having failed to make an impact under Lamouchi, whilst Michael Dawson is now approaching the age of 37.

McKenna is a player who Forest have been reportedly interested in before, with the Aberdeen centre-half establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the SPFL.

The 23-year-old would add real competition to the defence, and a move could definitely be likely.

Andre Gray

When Forest were on the lookout for a new striker in January to provide cover for Grabban, Andre Gray was said to be on Forest's radar.

With Grabban approaching the age of 33, it remains to be seen whether he could cut it in the Premier League, and they need a forward proven to life in the top-flight.

Gray has scored only two goals for Watford this season, but the striker has made only 24 appearances in all competitions this term.

A fresh start could do the 28-year-old good, and you feel that he would thrive if he became the main man on Trentside.
