Jed Steer and Elliott Ward have left Huddersfield Town following the expiration of their loan deal, the club has confirmed on their official website.

Goalkeeper Steer has returned to struggling Aston Villa after 16 appearances for the club in which he deputised for the injured Joe Murphy well.

Ward on the other hand has not had the same amount of game time with a knee injury and not being in the managers plans meaning he played just five times for the Terriers.

The German manager has begun planning for the January transfer window and he will be hoping that he will be able to bring in some players in order to ensure his sides safety.

The club also confirmed that young goalkeeper Ed Wilczynski has returned to the club from Northern Premier League side Hyde United.

The Terriers currently sit eighteenth in the Championship, just four points above the bottom three, and they face bottom club Bolton on Saturday.
