Premier League duo West Brom and Middlesborough are reportedly eyeing a deal to sign Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips, according to The Mirror.
Both clubs however could be put off by the heavy asking price of £10 million, which is the fee that Rangers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has stated he is willing to sell at.
Phillips had a disappointing season last campaign, with Rangers enduring something of an anticlimactic season, missing out on the Play-Offs by a considerable margin.
Deployed up front, often as a loan striker, when Seb Polter and Conor Washington were out of form, the Scottish international rarely looked anywhere near as threatening as when played out wide with freedom to cut in a get a shot on goal.
With a squad clear-out ahead, Phillips could be one of the first to leave in a bid to clear some space and bring in some money to help Hasselbaink rebuild the squad.
For now however, neither Boro or West Brom have made a formal offer, so Phillips remains a Rangers player.
