According to The Sun, Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor is poised to join Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.
Charlie Taylor was widely expected to leave Leeds United after they failed to reach a play-off spot.
Last summer, the academy product handed in a transfer request – which was rejected – and refused to sign a new deal.
With his contract expiring this summer, Taylor refused to play in Leeds United’s final game of the season against Wigan Athletic.
West Brom will now be able to snap up the 23-year-old on a Bosman transfer.
Because Taylor is 23, Leeds will be entitled to a compensation package and the Baggies will have to shell a fee in the region of £4m for the young left back.
Liverpool were also linked with a move for Charlie Taylor but Tony Pulis’ West Brom have moved into pole position to finalise a deal for the want-away Leeds full back.
