Tom Lees’ excellent season continues to go from strength to strength as Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion reportedly circle, according to Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.
Such is the nature of his impressive performances for the Owls, the 25-year old is said to be a target for the Baggies as they begin preparations for next season.
Having all but secured Premier League survival, the Midlands side are understood to be casting a keen eye over his situation with the club.
Lees is truly the rock in the rearguard for manager Carlos Carvalhal, earning a nomination for March’s Championship Player of the Month.
The defender has been a thoroughly excellent addition to the ranks since joining from Leeds United in 2014 and was linked with two other top flight teams earlier this term.
Both Norwich City and Newcastle United were believed to have retained an interest in the former England under-21 international, though it is the Hawthorns club who could yet steal a march.
Wednesday, however, are under no immediate rush to sell their prized assets due to their wealthy backer, Dejphon Chantiri.
They too could feasibly be playing their football in the top tier next season, currently occupying a 5th place position and seemingly set on finishing in the play-offs at least.
Sheffield Wednesday fans, would Lees be right to leave the club at such an exciting time? Let us know below!
