Premier League club plotting £2m move for Hull City man

According to the Sun, West Bromwich Albion are set to hand Tom Huddlestone a Premier League lifeline and a way out of Hull City, following the club’s relegation to the Sky Bet Championship.

Hull dropped into the second-tier after just one season back in the Premier League last month, and could be set to lose a number of players this summer, including Huddlestone, who may leave the KCOM Stadium for as little as £2m.

Despite joining Hull for £5m in 2013, a clause in Huddlestone’s latest contract states that the 30-year old can leave the club for a cut-price following relegation.

West Brom are looking to replace Darren Fletcher, who has opted for a move to Stoke City, and should they sign Huddlestone, he will become the second Hull player to move to the Hawthorns in the last six-months, with Jake Livermore making the switch south during the January transfer window.

Losing Huddlestone ahead of their return to the Championship would be a blow for the Tigers, after the midfielder was impressive in the second-tier during the 2015/16 campaign, when he helped Hull seal promotion.

Last season in the Premier League, Huddlestone made 31 appearances, scoring just once for Hull.

Hull fans… Would losing Huddlestone this summer be a blow to your club? Are you surprised by the low transfer-fee he will demand? Let us know your thoughts!
