According to The Sun, Huddersfield Town have made an offer for Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom.

Barnsley are desperate to keep Andy Yiadom rather than losing their best players again.

However, Yiadom is a man in-demand and he might be tempted to join the Terriers in the Premier League.

Huddersfield Town were promoted via the Championship play-offs last season and have been very busy in the transfer window so far.

After securing permanent deals for loan stars Aaron Mooy and Elias Kachunga, Huddersfield Town have since completed the signings of Reading midfielder Danny Williams, Fulham left-back Scott Malone, Montpellier striker Steve Mounie, Derby County winger Tom Ince and Porto forward Laurent Depoitre.

In addition to this, David Wagner has secured loan deals for Kasey Palmer and Jonas Lossl.

Now Huddersfield are eyeing Andy Yiadom of Barnsley and have submitted a £750,000 offer.

Wagner is hoping that the twice-capped Ghanaian international can compete with Tommy Smith for the right-back spot but Barnsley are likely to resist this offer.

The Tykes are holding out for a £2m bid for their attack-minded right-back, who has recently been converted from a winger since his move from Barnet last summer.

The 25-year-old is also attracting attention from Queens Park Rangers but Barnsley are keen to open new contract negotiations with Yiadom in a bid to fend off interest from the Premier League and the Championship.
