Brighton and Hove Albion have joined Leeds United in the race to sign Blackburn Rovers youngster Luke Brennan according to Football Insider

Brennan has caught the eye with some impressive showings for Rovers' Under-18s side this season, with the Under-18s' campaign being concluded prematurely due to recent off-the-field events.

It had previously been revealed by Football Insider that Leeds had registered their interest in striking a deal with the youngster ahead of the summer transfer window, although it remained unclear as to what stage of negotiations they were currently at.

Brennan is yet to make his first team debut for Blackburn, but has been with the club since Under-7s level, and it remains to be seen as to whether the Lancashire-based side are willing to listen to any offers for the winger.

A move to Brighton and Hove Albion could be be a tempting proposition for Brennan, and it'll be interesting to see which team leads the race to land his signature.

Brighton are currently sat 15th in the Premier League, and are just two points adrift of the relegation zone, which will make for concerning reading for the club's supporters.

Whereas Leeds look as though they're destined to win promotion into the top-flight under the management of Marcelo Bielsa this term, with the Whites being seven points clear of third-placed Fulham in the Championship standings.
