Premier League club considering player swap to tempt Forest into deal for strike ace

Nottingham Forest are once again preparing themselves for offers for star man Britt Assombalonga, with Burnley now reportedly weighing up adding a player into the mix to try and sweeten a potential deal.

According to Alan Nixon, the Clarets are considering adding Tendayi Darikwa into the mix, in the hope that Forest can be swayed into selling the red hot striker.

Rumours have been rife all summer regarding Assombalonga, and it very much looks like it’s going to be a long drawn out process over the summer, with Forest essentially triggering an auction for who wants to pay the most with their so far blank refusal to sell the forward.

The former Peterborough man has become the star attraction at the City Ground despite missing a whole year with serious injury, and he returned at the end of last season to fire the Reds to safety on the final day of the season.

He signed for Forest in a big money deal worth around £8m, and many think that Forest are looking for at least double that figure, if they decide to go ahead and sell.

Forest fans, what do you think? Would Darikwa sweeten any deal? Let us know in the comments!
