Burnley will turn their attentions to Bristol City’s Joe Bryan this summer, if they fail in their attempts to sign Andrew Robertson, reports the Daily Star.

Sean Dyche’s side are battling with Liverpool to sign Hull City’s Robertson, but the Scottish international is in understood to want to move to Merseyside rather than Turf Moor this summer.

If Burnley fail in their attempts to sign Robertson, Dyche will look to secure a £3m deal for Bryan, who has impressed for Bristol in the Sky Bet Championship.

The 23-year old academy graduate has helped Bristol to promotion from League One during his time in the first-team, before playing a major role as the Robins have established themselves in the second-tier over the last two years.

Last season in the Championship, the left-back made 44 appearances for the Robins, missing out on just two league fixtures for Lee Johnson’s side.

Bryan also featured against Burnley in the fifth-round of the FA Cup, a clash that finished 2-0 in favour of Dyche’s side.

Burnley are not the only club keeping tabs on Bryan, with both Middlesbrough and Celtic considering a move for the talented left-back.

Dyche is confident that Burnley’s status as a Premier League club would be able to lure Bryan to Turf Moor.
