Norwich star Alex Pritchard is close to joining Premier League side Huddersfield in a deal worth £11 million, according to reports in The Sun.

Norwich City have been less than convincing this season under manager Daniel Farke, after failing to live up to the expectations that many set, of returning to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old is thought to have agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal at the John Smith's Stadium.

Alex Pritchard only returned to action back in November after missing the opening 3 months of the season due to an ankle injury, and with the attacker now back to full-fitness David Wagner is hoping that Pritchard can help cement their place in the Premier League.

After signing at Carrow Road from Tottenham back in 2016 for £8 million, it looks as if Norwich will be making a healthy gain of £3 million pounds if the £11 million deal manages to go through.

It's important that Daniel Farke uses the money from the possible Pritchard sale wisely, with their current 13th position looking poor when you take into account the squad the German has at his disposal.

Indeed, after seeing two bids get rejected for the midfielder already, according to reports in the the Mirror (live blog entry 14.22). The Terriers will be hoping that they've finally landed their man, after agreeing a deal.

The verdict

Alex Pritchard is a terrific addition, but will be sorely missed.

Norwich City have an incredible talent in Alex Pritchard who's the creative spark in their midfield, often creating the main bulk of chances for their striker's.

However, a move to the Terriers will reward the Canaries with £11 million to go out and bolster all required areas of their squad, that could make a huge difference.

Nevertheless, one teams loss is another teams gain.
