Charlie Taylor’s proposed move from Leeds United to West Bromwich Albion could be in doubt, with the Premier League club prioritising other positions this summer, reports the Express and Star.

The Hawthorns was looking like Taylor’s next destination, after the 23-year old failed to agree an extension on his deal with Leeds and was seemingly heading for the exit door having refused to play for the club on the final day of the 2016/17 season.

However, Tony Pulis is reportedly looking to strengthen the spine of his team this summer, and has shelved plans to offer Taylor a route out of Elland Road.

Taylor will still be expected to leave Leeds, with the left-back not willing to re-sign for the club, despite playing a key role for the Whites in the Sky Bet Championship last season.

With Taylor falling under the age of 24 and having come through Leeds’ academy, the Whites will be entitled to compensation for the left-back this summer, despite him becoming a free agent. And even if a compensation package cannot be agreed, a tribunal will be held.

West Brom were reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Taylor, who featured 29 times in the Championship last season, yet even with personal terms agreed, the Baggies have now turned their attentions to signing a striker and a central defender.

Since making his debut for Leeds in 2011, Taylor has made 104 appearances for the Whites, scoring three goals.

Where will Taylor be playing his football next season? Should West Brom reignite their interest? Let us know your thoughts!
