Tony Pulis has confirmed that West Bromwich Albion have made enquiries about a number of transfer targets, including Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor, reports BBC Radio Leeds’, Adam Pope.

Taylor is expected to leave Elland Road during the summer, having turned down the option to sign a new contract and making his desire to leave Leeds clear last year, by handing in a transfer request.

West Brom are reportedly leading the chase to sign the 23-year-old left-back, who is almost certain to be playing Premier League football next season.

Taylor is out of contract at Leeds, but the Whites would be entitled to compensation for the academy product.

Speaking about a potential deal, Pulis confirmed Albion were interested in Taylor, but wanted to avoid a tribunal to decide the fee, he said:

“We've made enquiries over several players and Charlie's one of them.

"We'd love to do a deal without going to tribunal. A tribunal might come into it and if it does that might affect that deal."

Taylor is facing disciplinary action from Leeds after he refused to play for the club against Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
