The internet throws up all sorts of brilliant and beautiful items, some heart-warming and others outright bizarre.

It has come the FLW's attention this afternoon that in a demonstration of the latter, a Leeds United fan has asked God for assistance with their current plight.

A short video has appeared on Twitter and seems to feature a telephone conversation between a softly-spoken fan and a man of the cloth.

The fan asks for the removal of Victor Orta, although the Pastor isn't sure how to go about it. After touching on how all football clubs have 'ups and downs', the pastor adds 'particularly Leeds United'. He's not wrong either, having seen their side plummet from the automatic promotion spots to mid table obscurity, I'm sure many have already prayed for intervention.

The Pastor continues by praying for the club, asking the Lord for help with the 'problems and people' and underlining a 'need to move in the name of Jesus'. Amen to that.

It is an indication perhaps of the lengths some fans will go to if it is genuine, or a superbly put together piece of satire if it is not. Listen out for the reference to Peter Ridsdale and the sincerity in the pastor's voice during the prayer.

The Verdict

I'm not sure what I've just listened to, but there won't be a Leeds fan reading this who hasn't felt like praying at some point. If it is genuine then you might just have the man upstairs on your side, just in time for the game against Aston Villa. Win tonight and you might just have a new heavenly fan.
