‘Praise the lord’, ‘Why bother’ – Plenty of Sunderland fans react to club’s recent social post

Sunderland haven’t had the 2019 that they would have originally hoped for, as they remain stuck in the third tier of English football.Β
The Black Cats missed out on an immediate promotion back into the Championship in the 2018/19 season, after they were beaten by Charlton Athletic in the League One Play-Off Final at Wembley.
But they haven’t exactly hit the ground running in this year’s campaign, as they look to go one better than last seasons frustrating conclusion.
A number of the Sunderland supporters aren’t impressed with the progress (or lack of) that Phil Parkinson has made since taking charge of the club earlier this season.
The Black Cats boss has won just two games since taking charge of the Black Cats, and will know that he has to inspire his side into a good run of form at the earliest of opportunities.
It’s safe to say that plenty of the Stadium of Light faithful were pleased to see the back of 2019 as we head towards the New Year with just one home game left this year.

Will be a fitting end to the year when we draw it 1-1
