Potentially huge news for Sheffield United with new investment set for Bramall Lane

Sheffield United could be in for a big change with potential new investors being lined up for the club, according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon.

The Blades have already been in the news this week and released a statement to confirm that current co-owners Kevin McCabe and Prince Prince Abdullah bin Musa’ad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in talks over McCabe selling his 50% stake in the club to the Prince.

However, it would now appear that there is more to the story than first appeared, and it could seem now that the current co-owner is looking to buy McCabe out, before selling on all or part of the club to further new investors.

Nixon also puts in his tweet that manager Chris Wilder has even met the potential new owners of the club, which could be positive news for the Blades and their fans with the club still in the mix for a playoff spot in the Sky Bet Championship.

United won against Leeds United yesterday to further enhance their chances of finishing in the top six, and news of new investment could well be the ideal boost at Bramall Lane as the club look to eventually seal a return to the Premier League.
