Aston Villa could be set for some big news with CEO Keith Wyness confirming the club are exploring the opportunity of linking up with Danish club Lyngby Boldklub.

In a report issued by the Hull Daily Mail, the Villa man confirmed the news and it is thought the link up would allow Villa to explore the Danish market for players in more detail and provide a go between for some of their own young talent, who could potentally make short term moves to Lyngby.

"I would like to confirm that we are coming to Denmark at the beginning of next week. Maybe Monday, but probably Tuesday". Wyness said.

We believe that we can help develop and run the club better than it has been driven for some years, and it is, among other things, what we come to Denmark to be sure of. We still need to meet Lyngby's leadership face-to-face, and then we'll look closely at the finances before we finally say 'yes'."

The news could potentially be a big plus for the Villa Park club as they look to make their way back to the Premier League this season under Steve Bruce, and they could well see themselves there, with their current run of form firing them into the promotion picture.

The link up with Lyngby is also thought to provide some sort of financial comfort to the Danish side, while Villa will be predominantly hoping to see player development for their side of the bargain.

Villa fans, what do you think to this? Good news? Let us know in the comments!
