Leeds United could potentially sign on loan striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga for as little as £2.2m in the summer, according to a report by German media outlet, Bild.

The big striker, currently enjoying a loan spell with the Whites following a move from Hamburg, has been in patchy form at times this season at Elland Road, but on the whole has showed he can offer something to the cause.

News of his relatively small release fee in this day and ages market is good news for Leeds, who could well make a permanent move for the big man in the summer if manager Paul Heckingbottom decides he has been suitably impressed with Lasogga's work.

Lasogga has been in and out of the side at times this term but over the last few months has made the starting striking berth his own for Leeds, scoring 1o goals in just 19 starts for the Yorkshire club, who have seen their push for a playoff place after an impressive start to the season fall apart in recent months.

However, news of Lasogga's availability in the summer could well prove tempting for the Elland Road outfit, and it would no doubt be a boost for Leeds fans to see Lasogga sign on a permanent basis.

Leeds fans, what have you made of Lasogga? Should you sign him permanently? Let us know in the comments!
