Derby County full-back Jayden Bogle has pulled out of the England U20 squad for their upcoming games due to injury.

The talented 19-year-old, who broke into the XI under Frank Lampard last season and was named the Young Player of the Year, has endured a tough start to this season.

Bogle has only played five games for the Rams under Phillip Cocu after suffering an ankle injury that forced him off during the 0-0 draw against Swansea - which was the second fixture of the campaign.

Whilst he has featured in the last three, including starting the last two, he has now been hit with another injury setback.

Derbyshire Live have stated that he was seen wearing a protective boot after the weekend win over Luton and they have now revealed he will not link up with the England youth team.

However, the extent of the teenager's injury has not been , with the report confirming that he will undergo treatment in the east Midlands.

The Rams are back in action after the break when they head to the capital to take on Charlton.

The verdict

This has to be a real worry for Derby as if Bogle faces another relatively lengthy spell on the sidelines then he will be really missed.

Of course, there's nothing to say he will be out but it's not good news if he was leaving in a boot and has had to miss games for his country as he probably could have done with the match fitness given his previous lay-offs.

So, it will be interesting to see how this develops and fans will be hoping it's nothing serious as Bogle is a quality player.
