Millwall are enduring a tough season in the Championship, with Neil Harris' men one of many sides that will be worried about relegation.

The Lions were fantastic last season and a remarkable second half to the season saw them push for the play-offs even if they did fall short in the end.

Key to that was their January recruitment, with Ben Marshall helping transform the side after he signed on loan from Wolves.

And, it appears already that signings in the New Year could be equally important this season as Millwall do look weak in several areas.

Here we outline THREE January deals that Harris should look to conclude that could help the Londoners avoid a relegation battle come May...

James Meredith has lost his place in recent games at left-back and that could see Harris be in the market for more competition in that role.

Elder, currently at Leicester City, would be a great signing and has the potential to develop into a good Championship player.

He was fantastic for Wigan as they won promotion to the second-tier last season and is ready to play regularly at that level now.

It's fair to say that the Lions haven't replaced Marshall since he left and they are lacking some magic out wide.

Graham could provide that as his direct style, pace and crossing ability would suit a side that have two strikers like Millwall do.

Another problem for Millwall has been scoring goals, with nobody apart from Lee Gregory stepping up.

It would be an ambitious move but Cardiff's Madine would be ideal for Harris' side.

He is an old-school target man but would provide more of a goal threat than the current options.
