Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi has revealed he isn't expecting any transfers in or out of the Amex Stadium between now and the end of this month, speaking to journalist Johnny Cantor.

That could be a blow for several Championship sides in their potential quest to get a deal for Deniz Undav over the line, with De Zerbi previously hinting that he would be allowed to secure a temporary away from the south coast.

Football League World believes Blackburn Rovers, Millwall, Norwich City, Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion are all interested in taking the player away from the Seagulls for the remainder of the campaign if a loan move is sanctioned.

However, it's currently unclear whether the Black Cats are still interested in striking an agreement for the 26-year-old after managing to beat several sides in the race to Leeds United's Joe Gelhardt.

Undav has recorded just 12 competitive appearances for his current side this term, scoring twice despite failing to make any Premier League starts with others currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

With this lack of game time in mind, he may be open to securing a temporary exit, but De Zerbi isn't expecting any senior player to leave in a potential blow to the 26-year-old.

The Verdict:

West Brom could certainly benefit from having another forward, with the addition of Undav or another player in his position potentially crucial for them in their quest to remain consistent and finish in the top six.

Similar can be said for Blackburn who will want to be in the mix at the end of the season following some mixed results - and you could easily see the Black Cats still wanting him despite the addition of Gelhardt.

Ross Stewart could potentially move on before the end of the month and even if he stays put, it's not as if they have a huge number of centre-forward options and that's why it would be a surprise if Tony Mowbray's side doesn't remain in the market for another addition in this area.

Gary Rowett's Lions could be the dark horses in this race though because they have shown that they have money to spend on a striker - and could potentially use it to lure Undav to The Den following their failure to get a deal for Kevin Nisbet over the line.

They may prefer to bring in a permanent addition though and at this stage, it would be difficult to see the Seagulls letting Undav go on a long-term basis considering how much of an asset he could be for them in the future.
