Sky Bet Championship side Stoke City could still lose midfielder Bojan Krkic to MLS side New England Revolution this month, according to reports from The Sun.

The Spanish playmaker has endured a turbulent time in Staffordshire following his arrival from European giants Barcelona in 2014, after spending last season on loan at La Liga side Deportivo Alaves, whilst the Potters were relegated from the Premier League.

The 28-year old was a bit-part player under Gary Rowett in the earlier stages of this season, but has come back into favour under Nathan Jones, with the latter keen to keep hold of the two-time Champions League winner.

But reports have now surfaced that the playmaker, could still be set to leave the bet365 Stadium this month, with MLS outfit New England Revolution keen on signing the Spaniard.

The American side are reportedly set to almost double Bojan's current salary of £27,000-a-week, by offering the player £50,000-a-week in order to lure him to the MLS.

Stoke, who turned down a late deadline day move from West Brom to sign the playmaker, currently sit 15th in the Sky Bet Championship table, a staggering nine points off the top six after winning just one of their last seven league games.

The Verdict

I would be very surprised to see Bojan leave Stoke this month, especially after becoming a regular for Nathan Jones since his arrival from Luton Town last month.

Although New England could be set to offer him a very hefty wage-packet to what he is currently on according to reports, surely the playmaker would rather prove a point and stay in England.

Moving to the USA, to me, sounds like he'd be giving up and taking it easy.
