Dinamo Zagreb striker El Arbi Hillel Soudami has spoken of his disappointment at being denied a move to the Championship with Nottingham Forest this winter.

In a report published by the Nottingham Post, Soudami has admitted he was 'disappointed' and that it was 'a dream for him to play in England', something Forest manager Aitor Karanka was offering the Algerian striker.

The Reds made waves in the January window signing a host of new players on deadline day as Karanka waded into the market to add fresh faces to what was a struggling Forest squad who were in danger of slipping into yet another relegation dogfight.

However, missing out on Soudami will have been a big blow to Karanka, and the Algerian feels the same way, despite admitting he now remains 'professional' and full focussed on matters in Croatia with Dinamo.

Soudami has scored 58 goals in just 62 league games for Zagreb, prompting the Reds and Karanka to make their move. However, with such a record, Zagreb were never going to give up their star man easily, and this proved the case they held on to their strike ace in January.

Forest fans, what do you think of this one? A bit gutting? Let us know in the comments!
