Former Leeds United player, Tony Dorigo, has stated that Leeds must make sure their home form doesn't turn into a bigger problem.

Leeds have picked up four points from their three home games so far this season, and have only dropped points at Elland Road, as they have won all four of their away fixtures.

The Whites have been scintillating on the road so far this season and won once more on their travels on Sunday, when they beat Yorkshire Rivals Barnsley at Oakwell.

It's something that Leeds will look to improve upon having lost some big games at home last season to Wigan, Sheffield United and, of course, Derby County in the play-off semi-final.

Dorigo feels that they have to fix it before it becomes a bigger problem than what it already is.

Speaking to LUTV, Dorigo said: "I think at home we have a slight problem that could turn into a bigger problem if we are not careful.

"We need to have composure and patience.

“Sometimes, maybe the fans, as well as the players, think 'well, we've had four chances now, why haven't we scored?'. So, if we can keep that in check, I think we'll be absolutely fine.”

The Verdict

There is a lot of pressure when Leeds play at home, they get a lot of chances and they have to begin to put them away otherwise they may find themselves in the same position as last season.

In the big games at Elland Road, Leeds get a much larger attendance than a lot of these players have played in front of so maybe it's a situation that they can't handle.

It'll be interesting to see how they cope with playing the side who knocked them out of the play-offs last season and whether that will have any mental bearing on them.
