Queens Park Rangers' Ebere Eze has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur throughout the season, and it may pave the way for one Ilias Chair to step-up and be the man about the club.

It's been the breakthrough season of Eze - already surpassing his goals return from last season, making his Young Lions debut, and generally just improving his all-round game under Mark Warburton.

He's been the key man for the club so far but at 21-years-old, he's hot property, and Spurs are getting more interested in the QPR man.

He's been linked with the club in the past, with Manchester City previously showing an interest too. It was thought though that with Mauricio Pochettino's dismissal from Spurs that the club would no longer be interested in Eze, but that could prove to be incorrect.

With a move for Eze looking more and more likely, be it in January or at the end of the season, someone new at QPR will have to step up and fill his boots.

Step forward, Ilias Chair. The young Belgian is another QPR youngster who's really come along under Warburton this season.

Having spent the second-half of last season on-loan at Stevenage, Chair scored a handful of goals and Warburton was keen to utilise him in his first-team plans at QPR this year.

The fans love him. He's a lot like Eze in that he can work the ball out of tight spaces, drive forward and create attacks but the one thing missing from his game is goals - in 17 Championship appearances this season he's not scored once.

Chair was a regular starter alongside Eze in the QPR midfield at the start of the season but in recent fixtures has found himself on the bench a bit more, but that would change if Eze were to leave.

The 22-year-old definitely has the ability to succeed at this level, and the QPR fans have a lot of faith in the Belgian. He'll be gunning to earn his spot back and in the back of his mind, will have thoughts of stepping up in place of Eze.

Like Eze, Chair has improved massively this season and there's nothing to say that he won't keep on doing so, and start to bang in the goals in the second-half of the season.
