The Championship is back this weekend as we get to the start of a very hectic period in the season.

We've begun to get a good idea of who is going to challenge for the top six and who is going to battle promotion and it seems as though Ipswich Town could have a chance of getting into the play-offs.

For sure, they'll need a bit of luck to achieve just that and it would be a bit of surprise if they did but perhaps it wouldn't be such a shock when you consider this stat from Sky Bet on Twitter:

Signed in the summer, Martyn Waghorn has impressed so far this season for the Tractor Boys and he's bound to get more goals between now and the end of the campaign.

Whether or not that is enough for a top six berth, though, remains to be seen, with the club from Portman Road more than likely needing a few more players that can score from across the pitch.

They do have the likes of David McGoldrick, though, so who knows what could be achieved.

Ipswich have started well but they will have to go some to get into the top six for the end of the campaign.

However, with players like Waghorn in form like the stat above, it could happen, because stories like this in the Championship so often do.
