Daniel Farke has provided some positive injury news ahead of Norwich's Championship game against Birmingham City on Tuesday evening.

The Canaries returned to winning ways at Rotherham United on Saturday, but midfielder Oliver Skipp involved in a horrible moment in the closing stages at the New York Stadium.

On-loan Tottenham man Skipp was on the receiving end of a horrible challenge from Millers midfielder Angus MacDonald, who was giving his marching orders by referee David Webb.

Skipp has been in outstanding form since making the temporary switch from Spurs, starting all five of Norwich's league matches.

It appeared that the 20-year-old could be facing a brief spell on the sidelines following the nasty tackle, but Canaries boss Farke admitted that Skipp will be available to face the Blues.

In more good news for Norwich, Farke confirmed that key midfielder Todd Cantwell has also been passed fit after missing the Rotherham game with a minor injury, but defender Christoph Zimmermann remains sidelined with a calf problem.

The Verdict

It's been a tricky start for Norwich following their relegation from the Premier League, but Skipp has been a shining light in their opening five matches.

Norwich are already six points adrift of the automatic promotion places, so they'll need everyone fit and firing it they're to prevent that gap from increasing - and Skipp and Cantwell are a large part of that.
