Positive injury update revealed for Ipswich star

It’s a big weekend for Ipswich Town this time out in the Championship as they look to get their form back on track after a brief blip.

Indeed, after seeing the club rise to second in the league at one point, Mick McCarthy’s men have gone off the boil in recent times and so that needs to be fixed.

Certainly, they’ll feel as though they can win this weekend against a struggling Bolton side and after that they should be able to call on Adam Webster, who is recovering nicely from injury.

Indeed, as quoted by the club’s website, manager McCarthy has revealed that Webster will train and then play in an U23 game next week and, all being well, he’ll then be back in contention.

The boss said:

“Adam is making good progress and if he comes through training without any reaction then he could play for the U23s at Forest next Tuesday.”

Some good news for the Tractor Boys, then, whilst they’ll also be pleased that Luke Chambers is back available for the club this weekend as they take on the Trotters.

The Verdict

Ipswich have suffered a bit of wobble of late but they are still up near the top of the league and a win against Bolton will surely help them reset.

They’ve got Chambers back, too, and Webster doesn’t seem far away either so the club should be feeling positive going into this weekend.
