Bolton Wanderers staff are set to be paid their February salaries by the end of the week, whilst bills to the emergency services will also be cleared.

That will ensure that Saturday's game against Millwall will be able to go-ahead after it had been put in doubt over the past few days.

Additionally, the Bolton News report that full-time and part-time employees will receive their wages in the coming days, with everything expected to be sorted by Friday.

This will be pleasing news for all connected to the club, with Bolton in crisis earlier this week as the training ground was shut as their financial problems mounted.

Owner Ken Anderson remains in talks to sell the Championship club, with the Sun revealing last night that former Manchester United figure Peter Kenyon is hopeful of closing a deal for the Trotters.

Phil Parkinson's men are currently second from bottom in the league and they are seven points from safety ahead of Saturday's vital clash against Millwall - another side in the relegation battle.

The Verdict

This is great news for all of the employees at Bolton who really shouldn't have been put in this very difficult situation.

However, thankfully it looks as though it will be resolved quickly, whilst it's also good to see the game this weekend should go ahead.

Now, it's about focusing on the sale of the club and Bolton fans will be hoping that can go through as soon as possible.
